About Marta Fedoriw
Marta Fedoriw is a Ukrainian-American advocate dedicated to raising international awareness about the plight of Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine. She previously served as Chair of the Return Ukraine’s Children initiative of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, where she led advocacy efforts focused on the return of Ukrainian children who have been forcibly deported or transferred from occupied territories. Under her leadership, the initiative mobilized Ukrainian-American communities across the United States, supported congressional advocacy, and organized public awareness campaigns on behalf of abducted Ukrainian children.
Fedoriw has become a recognized voice on this issue, appearing in national media, including CNN, to highlight the humanitarian and human rights consequences of Russia’s actions and to call for the safe return of Ukrainian children to their families and homeland.
She also initiated the nationwide Children Praying for Children campaign, bringing together faith communities, civic leaders, and Ukrainian-American organizations in solidarity with Ukrainian children affected by war. Her work has connected diaspora communities, policymakers, religious leaders, and international organizations in support of protecting children’s rights and advancing accountability for war crimes committed against Ukrainian children.
Marta now serves with Ukrainian Children Inc., where she is the Director of Return Ukraine’s Children. Her mission of advocating for vulnerable Ukrainian children, supporting efforts to return abducted children, and raising awareness of the ongoing humanitarian challenges facing families impacted by the war contines. Her work reflects a longstanding commitment to human rights, humanitarian action, and the protection of children in times of conflict.
