Last year, Yana and her husband went to live with their friends because the shelling in Nikopol got worse. During that time, their apartment was shelled and all the windows were destroyed. They wanted to come back home a couple months ago, but they knew that it wouldn’t be possible to live in the apartment during the winter without windows. Thanks to this window insulation, they are back home already.

Just couple days ago, Angelica’s house was shelled for the second time. 6 months ago, a shell hit their house and destroyed half of it. They started to rebuild it but the shell again hit and destroyed all of the windows. The window insulation which we did, thanks to UkrainianChildren, will keep them warm during the winter.

Last year a shell hit the yard of Anna’s house. The shockwave destroyed all her windows. She had put duct tape on the windows before the shell hit and it helped protect from flying glass. Afterward, the city gave her wood to cover her windows. She understood that it wouldn’t hold heat inside. She was very cold in her home, and after we insulated her windows, she called us back and said that in a couple hours it was already a couple degrees warmer. She expressed great gratitude.

This is Vitaliy. He received a concussion when a shell hit near his home. He spent 2 month recovering. The windows in his apartment were damaged and it was very cold. With this window insulation, he can take away the wooden pieces and blankets from his windows and be warm and have light.
